wineries | Off the Vine

Hey ya’ll,

I’m Ashtyne and I’m currently a junior studying journalism at Auburn University. As a class assignment, we have been tasked with creating a blog all our own, preferably a topic we are passionate about. I’m not new to the blogging world, and I return excited to begin my new adventure.

I mean, what’s better than getting graded for something you love doing?

I love writing, talking to different types of people and trying new things, so it didn’t take long for me to realize what I wanted to write about.

Wine.

Wine is something I enjoy trying, and with all the different types and brands, theres is always something new out there just waiting to be sampled. I’ve worked at a steak and wine store for six years so it’s always been something I’ve been around and learned about over the years.

So, if you enjoy wine, want to know about local vineyards in Alabama or possibly Georgia, or just enjoy what I have to say (which I hope you will) then stick around. I’ll try to post weekly, feature some spotlight wines and introduce the up and coming of the wine world.

I’ll be interviewing some interesting, wine loving people and taking tons of pictures so there will never be a dull moment.

I wanted to tell a little more about myself, but I figured a quote would be better than any wordy description I could come up with.
